Festive Chocolate Bark

Now that December is officially here, the festive baking can step up a notch!

This week Grace is sharing a Festive Chocolate Bark recipe. It's a nice easy one - perfect for some weekend baking with the kids.

Best of all, you can package it in little bundles as a thoughtful gift for teachers, workmates and friends.

Festive Chocolate Bark

To make this decadent (but super easy!) chocolate bark, you'll need:

225g Dark Chocolate
115g White Chocolate
Peanuts or Pistachios
Freeze Dried Raspberries
Dried Cranberries
Other festive toppings of your choice (eg. Candy Canes)

Line a baking tray with tinfoil. Melt each of the types of chocolate separately in the microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring in between, until melted (be careful not to burn it).

Spread the dark chocolate into a rough rectangle on the baking tray. Drop the white chocolate on top in blobs, then using a fork swirl the white chocolate over the top layer to create a marble effect.

Sprinkle your toppings evenly over the chocolate, then chill in the fridge for at least an hour (or freezer for half an hour or so) until completely set.

Snap into pieces with your hands. Bag into little bundles and tie with ribbon if using for gifts. Keep chilled or in a cool dark place. Enjoy!
