Food is one of the oldest ways we care for each other

When someone we love is going through a difficult time, our instinct is often to feed them.

We make a lasagne for new parents, drop soup at the door of someone who is unwell, bring baking to a grieving family and make dinner for a friend who has simply had a very hard week.

Across families, generations and cultures, preparing food for another person has long been a way of showing up.

Not because a meal can fix what they’re going through, but because it can make one small part of their day feel easier.

And sometimes, that is exactly what care looks like.

When you can’t be there to cook for them

Of course, we can’t always turn up with something homemade ourselves.

Families live in different cities and countries, life is busy and sometimes the people we most want to look after are simply too far away.

That feeling is at the heart of Angel Delivery.

Our care packages are designed to help you send the feeling of being looked after, even when you can’t be there in person - with comforting meals, home-style baking and treats, fresh flowers and your own handwritten message.

Because a thoughtful food gift isn’t really just about sending dinner, it’s about sending a little piece of home. A little practical help and a reminder that someone is thinking of you.

A warm meal can say a lot

There will always be moments when it’s difficult to know what to do or say:

  • Someone is grieving.
  • Someone is sick.
  • A new baby has arrived.
  • Life has become overwhelming.
  • Or perhaps someone you love simply needs a little extra care.

You don’t always need the perfect words, sometimes, a warm meal at the door is enough to say:

"I’m here for you."

And when you can’t make it yourself, we’re here to help. x
