Angel Makes: Nickie's Chocolate Pudding
This month Nickie from our Angel family is sharing the perfect winter warmer recipe to see you through the colder months - her famously decadent Chocolate Self-Saucing Pudding.
Chocolate Sauce
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- ¼ cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 ¼ cup Boiling Water
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Pudding Base
- 1 cup Plain Flour
- 2 ½ tsp Baking Powder
- ⅓ cup Brown Sugar
- ⅓ cup Caster Sugar
- ¼ cup Cocoa Powder
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ½ cup Milk
- ¾ cup Melted Butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Method
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- Mix the Chocolate Sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Grease a medium sized baking dish with butter or canola spray.
- For the Pudding Base, sift all the dry ingredients together first, then whisk the wet ingredients together. Combine the dry and wet together in a bowl and mix.
- Pour the Pudding Base batter into your greased baking dish. Then using the back of a large serving spoon, gently pour the Chocolate Sauce all over the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until pudding is cooked through.
- Serve up and enjoy (with lots of ice-cream, of course!)
